What is Bharat Rice Scheme?

Objective of Bharat Rice Scheme
The Bharat Chawal Scheme was developed to help low- and middle-income consumers in India who were unable to purchase grain due to high retail costs. After ‘Bharat Atta’ and ‘Bharat Dal’, the Indian government has launched ‘Bharat Rice’, which would be sold in 5 kg and 10 kg boxes.
Bharat Atta costs Rs 27.5/kg, Bharat Chana Rs 70/kg, and Bharat Chawal Rs 29/kg. The prices of these grains are approximately 20% lower than the current retail market price. Bharat Brand grains are available for purchase through e-commerce platforms, mobile vans, Kendraya Bhandar, NAFED, and NCCF stores.
